I’m Max Tucker.

 I’ve been completely hooked ever since I first saw blacksmithing in action when I was eleven years old. I started in my own small way at this age and have been learning more ever since. I’m nineteen now and I’m running my own workshop, making all kinds of custom pieces.

When I design pieces, I like to get a feel for the person the item is for and the place it’s going. This way I can add details that make the final product suit the place and person it’s going to. The natural world translates to metal sculpture really well, and I find myself including native flowers, plants, birds and landscapes in a lot of my work.

I make tools - carpentry tools like chisels, drawknives and axes and I love the way that blacksmithing allows me to make custom tools that I need to complete my projects.
